History

In 1923 Alla Cantina was already a restaurant, it was then named “America” and had a mention “wine and beer” on the facade. After a first renovation in the early 50’s the restaurant was renamed “Alla Cantina” due to the large and wonderful cellars. Until 1998 the restaurant with its accommodation was run by Luisina Mattei-Dazio know for her great tasting spaghettis. Renovated in 2010 the restaurant and accommodation are managed separately, Alla Cantina is still impregnated by a typical Ticino glamour.
